Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions
is an official government registration aimed at improving the safety, health, and working conditions of employees and laborers working in factories, construction sites, and other commercial establishments.
Under the OSHWC Act, 2020 (Labour Code), the Ministry of Labour and Employment has initiated this registration process across India, including Gujarat.
What Is This Registration For?
This registration is primarily required for the following units and businesses:

Factories and Workshops: Premises where machinery-based operations take place.

Construction Sector: Contractors and builders engaged in the construction of buildings, bridges, roads, etc.

Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW): Workers associated with the construction sector.

Inter-State Migrant Workers: Employers/contractors hiring workers migrated from other states.

Contract Labour: Establishments employing 10 or more contract labourers.

Large Commercial Establishments: Units employing 10 or more employees/workers.
